Round face, brow guide
Eyebrows for a round face
A round face is made of curves, so a brow with a visible angle adds a line the face does not already have. The arch does most of that work.
A rounded, thin brow repeats the face and makes it look softer. A brow with a defined peak and a tapered tail gives the eye a corner to follow.

What works, and where it sits
The arch supplies the angle and the tail supplies the length. Together they give a round face two straight-ish lines above the eyes, which is enough to change the balance without a dramatic shape.
- 1
Defined arch with a visible peak
Let the brow rise to a clear peak above the outer third of the eye, then fall. The angle is what contrasts with a round face.
- 2
Slightly higher peak
A peak placed a little higher than the natural brow line adds vertical direction. Keep it soft rather than sharp so it does not look drawn on.
- 3
Tapered tail
A tail that narrows towards the temple adds length to the brow and draws the eye outward. Avoid a tail that drops down towards the cheek.
- 4
Medium-full thickness
A full brow gives the face structure. Very thin brows make the cheeks look fuller by comparison, which is the opposite of what a round face needs.

What works against it
None of these is a rule. They are the choices that tend to undo the balance the rest of the page builds.
A rounded arch
An arch with no visible angle repeats the curve of the face. If your natural brow is round, add a small peak rather than a new shape.
Over-plucked, thin brows
Thin brows reduce the structure above the eyes and make the face look softer and rounder.
Questions
Questions about eyebrows
Should a round face have high arches?
A visible arch helps, but it does not need to be high. A moderate peak with a clean angle does more than an extreme arch, which can look sharp.
What brow thickness suits a round face?
Medium to full. A fuller brow gives the face structure, while a thin one makes the cheeks look fuller.
Where should the brow tail end?
Roughly at the outer corner of the eye, tapering outward. A tail that ends early makes the face look wider.
